Category 1 in the 2015 BJCP Style Guidelines covers the typical beers you’d expect to be advertised during an American Football game. Generally brewed to be thirst-quenching and not necessarily for flavor. Usually have rice or corn added to lighten the body. These are the beers you save for your uncle when he comes over so he doesn’t find the good stuff you’ve hidden in the back of the fridge.
