Western New York’s favorite summer beer, Genesee Ruby Red Kolsch, is getting a spin-off. New Tropical Pineapple Kolsch is launching just in time for summer fun across the region.
Genesee Ruby Red Kolsch has grown every year since its launch in 2018, with an average of 66% growth each year. It was the Top and Fastest Selling Beer or Seltzer in a major Upstate NY retailer in 2021. Now, it’s joined by a tropical sidekick.
“Fans have been asking for another Kolsch for a while now. The brand has earned social media buzz and helped to connect new beer drinkers to the Genesee Brewery,” said Jaime Polisoto, Genesee brand director. “When your customers know what they want, you give it to them. Tropical Pineapple Kolsch is fun twist on the original and is sure to become the ‘other’ beer of summer.”
With the same classic German Kolsch base as Ruby Red Kolsch, Tropical Pineapple Kolsch adds a pineapple twist. The result is a refreshing, bright-golden ale with a bready malt body, mild hop bitterness and fruity flavor.
Tropical Pineapple Kolsch will be available in 12-packs of 12-ounce cans across Western and Upstate NY throughout the summer.
