A new era of Buffalo craft beer is on the horizon as Community Beer Works, Thin Man Brewery and Smoldered Society have announced the launch of Chandler Street Breweries, a shared taproom experience in Buffalo’s historic Black Rock neighborhood.

The new taproom will be housed in the former Riff City space located at 166 Chandler Street, which is being fully redesigned. Hosting three unique brands, Chandler Street Breweries will have 24 draft lines, exclusive beer releases, and a diverse menu featuring wood-fired pizza, and numerous other entrees and appetizers.

All the beer served will be brewed in the adjacent Chandler St. facility, where the breweries are consolidating their operations.

“This a bold step forward,” said Yvon Pasquerello, Director of Sales at Community Beer Works. “We’re consolidating into a much larger facility that will allow us to operate more efficiently and deliver a truly unique experience for beer lovers in Buffalo and beyond.”

Community Beer Works, which was founded in 2012, recently completed the acquisition of Thin Man Brewery, bringing together two of Buffalo’s most recognized craft breweries. The company also launched Smoldered Society Beer Company in 2024, a brand that quickly gained industry recognition for its creative and unconventional approach to brewing.

The new taproom, Chandler Street Breweries, is the catalyst for bringing together the best of the three unique brands.

With renovations currently underway, the taproom is expected to open in late summer.

“We know people are eager for our new taproom—we hear it every day,” said Pasquarello, “and we’re just as excited, but we also want to get it right. This is a big, collaborative project and a real opportunity to redefine what a brewery taproom can be.”
