The eighth annual Buffalo Beer Week is upon us and with it comes 10 action-packed days of everything the Buffalo-Niagara beer scene has to offer. And this year’s theme is beer and music, so the next ten days also represent some of the best thriving music scene in our area has to offer. Beer and music are two things that not only go perfectly hand-in-hand; they are also a unifying force – two things that can bring people together no matter the venue, no matter the situation.

Over the course of these next 10 days, we will be highlighting all of the events you need to attend, all of the beer you should have in your glass and all of the bands you should see live. Yes, it’s an arduous task, but someone has to do it. So, without further ado, let’s get to it, shall we?

Come out and celebrate the official kick-off to Buffalo Beer Week at the Buffalo Beer Week Opening Gala at the Adam Mickiewicz Library & Dramatic Circle at 7pm. Local beer from all of your area favorites will be on tap at the kickoff event, live music will be provided by GRAVY and the Steam Donkeys, award-winning a-la-carte pierogis will be available for purchase and Smoker’s Haven will be on hand for all of your cigar-related needs. $5 donation at the door.

Woodcock Brothers Brewing will host the second annual WNY Fall Beer Festival at 6pm. This unique event features fall, and harvest seasonal brews exclusively from New York State craft breweries. Eventattendees will get to sample over 20 different beers from 20 different breweries. All the beers featured are fall, or harvest seasonal style brews and were brewed in New York. Representatives from each brewery will be on hand to showcase each of their unique brews. The event is open to the public. $3 per drink-ticket, each ticket gets you one 5oz pour.

42 North Brewing will release one of their most beloved beers, Oatmeal Cookie Brown Ale at noon. The beer will also be on tap at Elm Street Bakery and Ru’s Pierogi.

At 6pm, Brewed & Bottled in Lewiston will tap one of the only kegs of Big Ditch Brewing’s FIP IPA available outside the brewery. In addition to pints, they will be filling a very limited amount of 32oz crowlers (one per person, to go only).

Community Beer Works will release Boats N’ Gose, a new gose with concord grapes at 3pm. The brewery will also host a nacho and Lemonhead bar. Also, the hype video for the beer is pretty next level, so we had to include it.

Additionally, Boys of Summer will take the stage at New York Beer Project at 9pm and Super Tuggers and Scarlet Begonias will play at Mr. Goodbar at 8pm.

West Shore Brewing and Buffalo Brewing Company will also be open every day during Buffalo Beer Week.
