Hamburg Brewing Purchases Flying Bison Brands

Hamburg Brewing Company has purchased the Flying Bison Brewing brand, which includes the transfer of ownership of the Flying Bison brand family, including all associated recipes and trademarks, to Hamburg. Under the new ownership, Hamburg Brewing Company will continue to produce and distribute Flying Bison’s signature beers, ensuring continued availability for loyal fans throughout the region. As part of the transition, the Flying Bison Taproom will close after its final day of service on Saturday, November 29. Hamburg is not involved in the future of that space.

Brickyard Brewing, Magic Bear Collab For Special Beer Release

For the fourth time, Magic Bear Beer Cellar and Brickyard Brewing have teamed up for a beer release on Nov. 21 (5-7 pm). Bear’l Aged Congregation is Father Bear 2024, a Belgian Quad, aged for one year in red wine barrels and blended with Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout and Adambier. Brickyard’s head brewer Rudy Watkins will be on hand at Magic Bear for the release to talk all things Bear’l Aged Congregation and Brickyard. In addition to the new blend on draft, bottled versions of each of the three barrel-aged beers used in the blend will be available. Matt from Happymanfood will also be on site serving tacos. The event is free and open to the public.

New York Beer Project 10th Anniversary Bash

New York Beer Project is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Lockport on Nov. 21 with the NYBP 10th Anniversary Bash featuring live music from Nerds Gone Wild. Tickets for the event are $30.80 and include entry, your first drink free (followed by cash bar), chances to win giveaways throughout the night, four new beer releases, and more. Stoutsgiving Returns for 10th Year at Big Ditch Brewing

Big Ditch Brewing has been rolling out the barrels for a decade now and will celebrate the 10th year of barrel-aged releases on Nov. 26 (11 am) at both locations. This year, there will be 10 new beers, commemorative glassware and special ice cream, including Aqueduct Double Barrel 2025, Aqueduct Estate 2025, Aqueduct Peerless 2025, Old Widow Jane 2025, Mudlarked Nutella Stuffed French Toast, Mudlarked Chocolate Raspberry, StraightEdge Turtle N/A Stout, Peanut Butter Biscotti Stout, Banana Nut Muffin Brown Ale, S’More The Merrier (Stoneyard Brewing collaboration) and Lake Effect ice cream made with Mudlarked Nutella Stuffed French Toast. Buffalo Beer Geeks 13th Anniversary Party at Mr. Goodbar

The Buffalo Beer Geeks will celebrate their 13th anniversary on Nov. 22 at Mr. Goodbar (1-4 pm). Tickets for the events are $30, which includes samples of 10 beers curated for the event with information about each brew, snacks, giveaways of BBG merchandise, and more. There will be hard-to-find beer from Ill Will (Ohio), 3 Sons (Florida), and Suarez (Hudson Valley), as well as new releases from Other Half, Wild East, Brickyard Brewing, and Autark Brewhouse. Steel Leaf Brewing After Dark Thanksgiving Ever Party

In honor of the biggest drinking night of the year, Steel Leaf Brewing on Hertel is transforming into Steel Leaf After Dark on Nov. 26 (8 pm) with a set from DJ Looney Tunes, drink specials all night like $6 Holiday Punch and $5 shots (Fireball, Deep Eddy, Screwball), and more. The event is free and open to the public and will feature Midnight Turkey Toast, a Thanksgiving Eve tradition you didn’t know you needed. The party also marks one year since Steel Leaf moved from the Eastern Hills Mall to 1488 Hertel Ave.
