42 North Brewing Company has announced the full brewery lineup for the third annual Barrel Jam Barrel-Aged Beer Festival to take place outdoors on Saturday, February 4.

The event celebrates the art of barrel-aging beers, live music & winter sports in & around the brewery “campus” at 42 North. Tickets are available online at bit.ly/Barreljam2023. The event runs from 2-5pm (with VIP hour from
1-2pm).

Featured breweries will each pour their barrel-crafted and specialty offerings for festival goers to taste in their
complimentary glasses. The list of breweries and craft partners showcasing their craft includes 42 North
Brewing Company, Aurora Brew Works, Beer Tree Brew Co., BlackBird Cider Works, Brewery Ardennes,
Community Beer Works, Eli Fish Brewing Company, Kings County Brewers Collective (KCBC), Lucky Hare
Brewing, Meier’s Creek Brewing Company, Prison City Brewing, Sloop Brewing Co., Strangebird, Thin Man
Brewery, and Wild East Brewing Co.

Other popular features of the event include a Rail Jam ski/snowboard competition hosted by Holiday Valley
Parks with a ramp and rail set up in the alley behind the brewery, live music by DJ Euphoreum outside in the
Biergarten from 2-5pm, and live music by Funktional Flow from 8-11pm in the taproom.

Also on-site will be a variety of non-brewery entertainment and tastings that include Buffalo Distilling Co. and
their locally-distilled spirits: Barrel-Aged Krupnik and Bottled in Bond Bourbon, Fat Bob’s Smokehouse BBQ,
Blue Eyed Baker with specially crafted macarons, and Arrow Tank Co., a local woodworking company
specializing in barrels.

Here is a list of beers you can expect to taste at Barrel Jam 2023:

  • 42 NORTH BREWING – 2020 Imperial Stout aged in bourbon whiskey barrels. From out of the brewers reserve this crowd favorite is back. Flavors of oak, dark stone fruit, roasted coffee, dark chocolate, toffee, and caramel. 11% ABV
  • 42 NORTH BREWING – Belgian Quad aged in American oak former bourbon and maple whiskey barrels for 1 year. Flavors of honey, maple, toffee, caramel, dark fruit, oak, and Belgian spice. 12% ABV
  • BLACKBIRD CIDER WORKS – Dry Oak-Aged Cider: Dry, hard apple cider produced with certified
    organic apples. Full bodied with a hint of pear. 6.7% ABV
  • BLACKBIRD CIDER WORKS – New England Style Cider: A double fermented medium dry hard cider.
    Full bodied flavor with fermented honey notes. 9.9% ABV
  • BREWERY ARDENNES – Bourbon Barrel-Aged Biere de Garde. 6.2% ABV
  • BREWERY ARDENNES – Bourbon Barrel-Aged Quadrupel. 8.9% ABV
  • COMMUNITY BEER WORKS – BBA The Snow Imperial Stout. 9.9% ABV
  • COMMUNITY BEER WORKS – BBA Ring Modulator Doppelbock. 8.3% ABV
  • ELI FISH BREWING COMPANY – Will it? – Imperial Stout aged in a Willett Bourbon Barrel for 18
    months, currently unreleased. 15% ABV
  • ELI FISH BREWING COMPANY – Wild Raspberry Pillow Talk: Mixed Fermentation Ale, aged in oak 18
    months, then refermented on local Raspberries. 6% ABV
  • KINGS COUNTY BREWERS COLLECTIVE (KCBC) – Eye of the Fates: Imperial Stout aged in Elijah Craig
    Bourbon barrels for 11 months. 14.5% ABV
  • KINGS COUNTY BREWERS COLLECTIVE (KCBC) – Sun Serpent: Farmhouse Saison aged in French oak
    barrels. 5% ABV
  • LUCKY HARE BREWING – “I Am The Liquor” is a blend of liquid from bourbon and whiskey barrels aged
    for over a year. 12% ABV
  • LUCKY HARE BREWING – “I Am The Wine” is aged in Syrah wine barrels for over a year. 12% ABV
  • MEIER’S CREEK BREWING COMPANY – The Nib Situation: Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout with
    cocoa nibs. 12% ABV
  • MEIER’S CREEK BREWING COMPANY – Dark Aisle: Bourbon Barrel-Aged Porter. 6% ABV
  • PRISON CITY BREWING – Barrel Aged Wham Whams: This version is a blend of Four Roses and Buffalo
    Trace Bourbon barrels, with additions of Madagascar Vanilla beans and house toasted coconut! 11% ABV
  • PRISON CITY BREWING – Something Something Something: A Mixed Fermentation Dark Sour Ale,
    primary fermentation carried out in an oak foeder with lacto and brett, then aged 16 months in red wine
    and bourbon barrels. Finished with tart and sweet cherries. 8% ABV
  • SLOOP BREWING CO. – Coco Baked: Stout brewed with oatmeal, lactose and toasted coconut 6.5%

  • WILD EAST BREWING CO. – Turbines in Darkness: Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout: Imperial Stout
    aged in Taconic bourbon barrels for one year. Medium-full body with rich malty notes of bourbon,
    bittersweet layers of milk and dark chocolate, light roast coffee, subtle maple, toffee and American oak.
    Subdued decadence with a touch of residual sweetness on the finish. 10% ABV
  • WILD EAST BREWING CO. – Dulcet Noir: Barrel-Aged Dark Farmhouse Ale w/Cherries: Foeder-aged
    Dark Farmhouse-style Ale, with additional aging in wine puncheons with second-use cherries from our
    kriek-inspired ale. Tart, medium-full body with moderate acidity. Smooth, round and complex with notes
    of sour cherries, syrah, dark fruits, some alcohol warmth and soft tannins; off-dry finish. 6.9% ABV
