After thoughtful reflection and heartfelt conversations with family and friends, Steel Leaf Brewing Company has announced that it will be closing its doors at the end of February.

The brewery will remain open through Feb. 28 as it winds down operations and celebrates its final weeks with the community it has proudly served.

“We built Steel Leaf with imagination and intention,” says owner Jeff Pitts. “Every beer carried a story. Every event was meant to bring people together. From our first pour to our last ‘Never Flavor,’ this community showed up for us in ways we will never forget.”

The decision to close comes amid shifting economic conditions that have made continuing forward no longer the right path for the family behind Steel Leaf.

To mark the closing chapter, Steel Leaf will host special events and farewell promotions throughout its final weeks. Community members are encouraged to stop in, share stories, raise a glass, and celebrate everything the brewery has represented.

“This is incredibly hard to write,” the brewery said. “After much reflection, and long conversations with family and friends, we’ve made the decision to close. This place has been more than a brewery. It has been a dream brought to life. A gathering hall. A stage for music and trivia. A refuge on cold Buffalo nights. A home for laughter, first dates, game nights, celebrations, and quiet pints at the bar.”

Liquidation Sale & Open House

In addition, Steel Leaf will hold a public liquidation sale of its inventory and equipment.

  • Open House to Purchase Items: Friday, Feb. 27
  • Large Item Pickup: Sunday, March 1
  • Guests may also visit during regular business hours over the next two weeks to view available items.

The sale will include select furniture, fixtures, décor, and brewing-related items.
